Our February 27th day-long event to the Pasadena Museum of California Art to see the Millard Sheets exhibit, followed by lunch at the historic Raymond House Restaurant and a viewing of the Waite's fantastic art collection, was truly a day to remember.  Despite a little rainy weather, everyone had a terrific time.  If you have not viewed the Millard Sheets exhibit, make sure you do not miss it. 

On April 18th, Jean and Linda Stern will host a Patron Party at their home from 6:30 to 9:00pm. 

An exciting trip is being planned for May 20th - 23rd, to Denver.  All attendees will be staying at the Brown Palace Hotel in downtown Denver.  Peter Hassrick is helping arrange a great time which will include a guided tour of the Denver Art Museum's Western Collection, and visits to a number of private collections.  More information will follow soon.

In the Fall 2010 the HCC may go up to Sacramento for a weekend, and the opening of the Crocker Museum.

In the Fall 2010, HCC plans to do a tour of artists' homes in Laguna Beach.

January 28 - March 28, 2010 the Palm Desert Community Gallery and Visitor Center hosts the exhibit "Desertscapes".  The Exhibition brings together 5 area artists to display desert themed artwork.  Gallery and Visitor Center are located at 72-567 Highway 111, Palm Desert.  760-837-1664

As part of the "Desertscapes" Schedule of Events, Jean Stern, Executive Director of the Irvine Museum, will talk on the subject of the early California Painters.  The event is free, but reservations are requested.  Location is the University of California, Riverside Palm Desert Graduate Campus, 75-080 Frank Sinatra Drive, Palm Desert.  Call 760-837-1664 to make a reservation.
